Lutein and Zeaxanthin
Lutein and Zeaxanthin are carotenoids, derivatives of vitamin A, which the human body is unable to synthesise and which must be ingested via the diet. Once taken, they enter the bloodstream and are selectively deposited at the back of the eye, where they act as a protective screen for the retina.
