Lutein and Zeaxanthin
The Lutein and Zeaxanthin contained in PIXEL ACTIVE HD follow the dosages and standards proposed in the latest ‘AREDS2’ studies on the prevention of maculopathy. Lutein and Zeaxanthin are carotenoids, derivatives of vitamin A, which the human body is unable to synthesise and which must be ingested via the diet. Once taken, they enter the bloodstream and are selectively deposited at the back of the eye, where they act as a protective shield for the retina.

Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant and neurotrophic agent that has shown remarkable efficacy in counteracting the toxic effects on the retina caused by exposure to light.
